  • Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Bronken Gaming web site.

Bronken-Gaming is a community of like-minded PC gamers who enjoy kicking back with cold beers and some online gaming.

We don't take our games too seriously and we're just a bunch of people who like to relax after a hard days work and enjoy some games. We play a range of games including BF:BC2, BF3, L4D/2, SUPCOM2 and are always looking to expand our gaming horizons.

Our aim is to provide a relaxed gaming community where people can come and share their experiences on the forum and join us on the game servers we provide.

For our BF3 server we have 19 administrators to make the gaming fun, fair and free from people who may otherwise seek to spoil the fun for everyone else so find our server and come join in the mayhem. We are also running a free VIP event for players who register and play on our server as much as possible for the month.

Plans are in place to launch a Community+ scheme as well in the near future, more news about this will be announced later.

If you have any problems or issues feel free to contact us on staff@bronken-gaming.net

Well it's finally here, the patch we have all been waiting for. Client R3 fixes a number of bugs, adjusts certain weapons (can anyone say IRNV nerf!) and other bits and pieces. Have a read of this thread to see exactly what was changed.
    ...

Things have been a bit quiet recently in the Bronken camp.

After the original hype of Battlefield 3 being released most staff members have found themselves playing other games instead as we've felt that the game just lacks the staying power that Bad Company 2 had.

Whether that will change with the release of the latest patch expected tomorrow or the Back to Karkand expansion coming in the next few weeks who knows.

Because of this we have decided not to renew the extra three servers that were purchased last month and we're currently in talks as to whether or not we will renew the original 64 player server. We will be including any future patches or DLC content that may be available in the near future into these discussions.

With Christmas coming up we expect things to go either two ways, going even quieter or exploding as people are off from work and fancy spending some time away from the family gaming

That said feel free to add me to Battlelog - Jam0r - and when I do get a chance to be online I'll happily be up for some squad gaming!

We've been waiting for DICE and EA to pull their fingers out and implement VIP reserved slots on servers which is why the competition has been on hold.

However we're been told from the big man itself, Battlefield on Twitter that they have no plans to implement VIP reserved slots for the time being. Now whether this means the next few weeks or ever we aren't too sure.

Thus because of this news we are suspending our VIP competition until further notice.

This will also impact on our planned Community+ scheme as part of this was in return for a monthly contribution you'd receive a VIP slot on the servers. Clearly this isn't possible now and we are going to have to rethink things.

As a result of the popularity of the BF3 64 slot conquest server, we've decided to add some other types of server as well to see how they go. To that end, we're adding:-

    1 x 32 Man Rush Server
    1 x 24 Man TDM Server
    1 x 16 Man SQDM Server

Each on a trial period to see how well they perform in terms of numbers.

Stay tuned, as we'll also announce a "Bronken BF3 Sunday" event where anyone that is available on sunday evening will be invited to the 24 man TDM server for some Bronken only fun. We'll probably split up the teams in mumble to make things easier

    Go grab a bargain!

DICE has drawn the line in the sand regarding PC gamers who are using VPN (Virtual Private Network) techniques to gain early access to Battlefield 3 through EA’s Origin.

For those using VPN techniques to gain early access to Battlefield 3. DICE has this to say. “We strongly advise you do not use VPN. You can compromise the security of your account.” When asked by some fans if it is indeed possible to have their accounts banned, DICE responded. “If your account is related in suspicious activity, quite possibly.” Daniel Matros weighs in as well saying that though “it isn’t illegal,” DICE highly advises “against doing it and [to] instead wait for the launch day of your territory.”

If you are curious about the exact date and time of launch for your region, please refer to our earlier article, Battlefield 3 Launch – Server Admin Manual and Unlock Times for PC Pre-Load.

DICE might be just blowing smoke as the players who “violated” the terms have purchased the game legally. Our advice is too either mask your IP like a boss, or just wait until it’s available in you territory.
